Decided to re-do the lighting in our 3-car garage and replaced six ceiling lights that previously were a socket with a 36-watt circular fluorescent unit screwed into it. Those units were hard to find, didn't put out much light, faded quickly and didn't last long. Replaced them all with ceiling-mounted 3-tube fixtures. I wanted a bulb that was efficient, bright and full spectrum. These bulbs have worked extremely well so far (3 months). They turn on instantly, no hum and the light is like being outdoors at noon on a summers day - very bright and true colors (CRI=95). Considered getting LED's but these are much cheaper, last just as long (at least they are touted to)and put out a higher quality and quantity of light. I essentially tripled the previous wattage draw but wow, so bright now. Would be nice to buy these singly as a case will probably last a long, long time. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Philips 20905-6 - F32T8/TL950 - 32 Watt Fluorescent Tube - T8 - 20000 Hours - 2000 Lumens - 5000K Full Spectrum - 900 Series Phosphors - Case of 25" are high quality item.
