I ordered this fixture for my pantry. It's perfect as it fits the style of my traditional 1918 historical home. I chose the antique nickel finish to compliment the nickel hardware in my kitchen. The nickel is darker in appearance than the photo, no polished look. It looks great, just don't expect any shine to it. Also, if you choose the clear globe (there is an opaque option) as I did, clear light bulbs are a MUST. Regular white bulbs do not look good with the clear globe. The clear globe with the clear light bulbs lights up my pantry beautifully and the ribbed clear globe casts a pretty pattern on the ceiling. I am going to puchase another one for a walk in closet. I think you will be pleased with this fixture, remembering the photo shows more of a polish to the antique nickel option. It is more antiqued and darker than the photo.
