When I decided to try a fountain pen, I bought a relatively cheap (<$40) fountain pen at a major office supply chain and liked it, but didn't like the wide nib. I set out to find a fine point fountain pen and realized they aren't that easy to come by, at least not in the lower tier price range.

I eventually went to a retail pen store to try out the pens for myself. I think it's like buying eyeglasses - you should really try them out to see if they "fit" you.

I am delighted with this pen - it's well balanced, holds the ink well (no drips or splotches" and I love being able to refill the ink with any color I want (today, I'm using purple). There's a subtle pattern in the blue that add to the richness of the pen. If you are looking for a higher-end fine-point fountain pen, I think you'll be happy with with this one.
