Keeping the hose outlet even with the inlet on the cuff allows the unit to work just as it should. Air compressor works great as long as you follow the directions. The pin in the bracket allows you to easily adjust the cooler to keep the hose level with the cuff no matter if it is hanging off the bed rail in the hospital or off a kitchen chair back once in your home.
